Responsibilities
- Perform venipunctures and capillary blood draws on patients of all ages with precision and compassion.
- Greet patients, verify identity, and explain procedures to ensure a comfortable experience.
- Label, process, and transport blood specimens accurately to the laboratory.
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control and safety protocols (OSHA standards).
- Assist with inventory management of supplies and equipment.
- Document patient information accurately in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
Qualifications
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or equivalent certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient privacy and comfort.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
