Responsibilities
- Prepare patients and clinical areas for dental procedures, ensuring strict sterilization protocols
- Assist dentists during complex restorative and cosmetic procedures
- Take and develop accurate dental radiographs (X-rays)
- Manage patient records using digital dental software (Dentrix/Eaglesoft)
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide under dentist supervision
- Provide post-operative instructions and patient education
- Order and maintain inventory of dental supplies and instruments
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification in Wisconsin (DANB or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency with digital radiography and intraoral cameras
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and infection control standards
- Excellent chairside assisting skills for all procedures
- CPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Exceptional communication and patient rapport skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
