Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorations, extractions, and orthodontic treatments
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment following OSHA protocols
- Take and develop dental X-rays with precision and patient comfort in mind
- Manage patient records using our digital dental software (EpicCare)
- Provide chairside support and four-handed dentistry during procedures
- Coordinate patient flow and ensure efficient clinic operations
- Deliver post-operative instructions and follow-up care guidance
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification (DANB or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and intraoral imaging
- Knowledge of infection control and sterilization procedures
- Excellent communication skills and ability to put patients at ease
- Experience with dental practice management software (Dentrix/Epic preferred)
- Valid CPR certification
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
