Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including exams, fillings, and extractions
- Take and develop dental X-rays following safety protocols
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments
- Manage patient scheduling and digital records
- Provide chairside assistance and post-op instructions
- Order inventory and maintain dental supplies
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and HIPAA regulations
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification or DANB eligibility
- 2+ years of chairside experience in general dentistry
- Valid CPR certification
- Proficiency in digital imaging systems (e.g., Dexis)
- Strong knowledge of dental instruments and procedures
- Excellent communication and multitasking skills
- Ability to manage 8+ daily patient appointments efficiently
- North Carolina dental radiography license preferred
