Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including restorative, surgical, and orthodontic treatments
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following OSHA protocols
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision and care
- Manage patient flow and ensure efficient clinic operations
- Perform intraoral photography and digital charting using Dentrix software
- Administer infection control procedures and maintain HIPAA compliance
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification (DAEFCC or DANB preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in a dental practice
- Proficiency in digital radiography and practice management software
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols and sterilization
- Excellent communication skills and ability to put patients at ease
- CPR certification and current BLS certification
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
