Responsibilities
- Chairside assistance during complex dental procedures
- Manage digital radiography and intraoral imaging systems
- Sterilize instruments and maintain OSHA-compliant operatory setups
- Prepare treatment rooms and assist with patient intake
- Take accurate dental impressions and pour models
- Implement infection control protocols per CDC guidelines
- Support patient education and comfort measures
Qualifications
- Michigan Dental Assistant certification required
- 2+ years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography (X-rays)
- CPR certification current or obtainable within 30 days
- Knowledge of dental software (Epic/Dentrix preferred)
- Exceptional communication and patient rapport skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environment
