Responsibilities
- Prepare patients and exam rooms for dental procedures
- Assist dentists during complex treatments and surgeries
- Take and develop dental X-rays using digital radiography
- Manage sterilization protocols and infection control standards
- Perform chairside assistance and four-handed dentistry
- Order inventory and maintain dental supply systems
- Update patient records in dental practice management software
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification (DANB or state equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Certification in radiography and infection control
- Proficiency with Eaglesoft or DentalWorks software
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA compliance
- CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
