Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, surgical, and cosmetic treatments
- Take and develop accurate dental radiographs using digital imaging systems
- Manage patient flow, including scheduling, chart updates, and pre/post-op instructions
- Maintain strict sterilization protocols and infection control standards
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for optimal efficiency
- Provide chairside support with suctioning, retraction, and instrument transfer
- Deliver exceptional patient education on oral hygiene procedures
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification or radiography license (AZ State Board)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in Eaglesoft or similar dental practice management software
- CPR certification with current BLS credentials
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA compliance protocols
- Exceptional communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude and commitment to continuous learning
