Responsibilities
- Chairside assistance during dental procedures including restorative, orthodontic, and surgical treatments
- Execute infection control protocols and sterilization procedures in compliance with OSHA standards
- Manage patient flow and coordinate with front desk staff for seamless appointment scheduling
- Prepare and maintain dental instruments, equipment, and operatories
- Assist in digital radiography and intraoral imaging procedures
- Deliver patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care instructions
- Maintain accurate digital patient records using Eaglesoft software
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification (RDA/CDA) and X-ray license in California
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in a general or specialty dental practice
- Proficiency in digital radiography and intraoral imaging systems
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols and sterilization procedures
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to create patient rapport
- Experience with Eaglesoft or similar dental practice management software
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- CPR certification and commitment to ongoing continuing education
