Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage pharmaceutical inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stock rotation
- Process insurance claims and maintain accurate patient records
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling to patients
- Ensure strict compliance with federal/state pharmacy regulations and HIPAA guidelines
- Operate automated dispensing systems and pharmacy software efficiently
- Maintain clean, organized, and compliant pharmacy workspace
Qualifications
- Active Louisiana Pharmacy Technician license (PTCB or ExCPT certified)
- Minimum 1 year experience in retail/hospital pharmacy setting
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Strong attention to detail and mathematical accuracy
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and drug classifications
- Flexibility to work rotating weekends/holidays as needed
