Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, receiving, and stocking pharmaceuticals
- Process insurance claims and manage patient billing inquiries
- Maintain precise medication records and ensure HIPAA compliance
- Provide exceptional customer service and patient education
- Operate pharmacy technology systems efficiently
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals for optimal patient care
- Assist in compounding sterile and non-sterile preparations
Qualifications
- Active Arizona Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT)
- Minimum 1 year of retail or hospital pharmacy experience
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and medication safety
- Proficiency in pharmacy software (e.g., QS/1, Omnicell)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail with high accuracy in medication handling
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic health records
