Responsibilities
- Assess and triage patients presenting with acute and chronic conditions using standardized protocols
- Provide telehealth and in-person consultations to determine appropriate care levels
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists to develop treatment plans
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Oversee patient flow and resource allocation in the emergency department
- Delicate patient education on home care and follow-up instructions
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Minnesota with 3+ years ED/urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Expertise in rapid assessment protocols and critical care pathways
- Strong communication skills with ability to de-escalate anxious patients
- Proficiency in Epic EHR systems
- BSN degree preferred (ADN candidates with equivalent experience considered)
- Demonstrated ability to work in high-pressure environments
