Responsibilities
- Assess and prioritize patients based on acuity using standardized triage protocols
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop patient care plans
- Utilize advanced diagnostic equipment (ECGs, vital monitors, ultrasound) for rapid assessment
- Document patient encounters accurately in Epic EMR system
- Provide compassionate care to patients across diverse cultural backgrounds
- Maintain compliance with Joint Commission and state nursing regulations
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Colorado (or compact state)
- Minimum 3 years emergency department or urgent care experience
- ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
- BSN degree preferred (ADN candidates with experience considered)
- Proficiency in using triage scales (ESI, CTAS)
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Strong communication abilities in high-pressure situations
