Responsibilities
- Process and submit medical claims to insurance companies with 95% accuracy
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits before service delivery
- Denial analysis and appeals management for rejected claims
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS regulations
- Collaborate with physicians and coding teams to resolve billing discrepancies
- Generate monthly reports on accounts receivable and collection metrics
- Utilize Epic EHR and NextGen billing software for daily operations
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a clinical or hospital setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification required
- Expert knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS coding systems
- Proficiency in medical billing software (Epic, Medisoft, or NextGen)
- Strong analytical skills for claim denial resolution
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
