Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and prioritize medical urgency using triage protocols
- Operate diagnostic equipment including EKG machines, vital monitors, and telehealth systems
- Coordinate with physicians and specialists to develop patient treatment plans
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Provide clear medical guidance to patients via phone, telehealth, and in-person consultations
- Oversee patient flow and department resource allocation
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas (or compact state)
- Minimum 2 years emergency/urgent care nursing experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Proficient in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Ability to work efficiently with provided medical equipment
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- Strong communication and patient advocacy abilities
