Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive telephone triage assessments using evidence-based protocols
- Provide clear medical guidance to patients experiencing acute and chronic conditions
- Collaborate with physicians and care teams to prioritize patient needs
- Accurately document all patient interactions in Epic EHR systems
- Coordinate emergency transfers and specialist referrals
- Delicate patient education on home care and next steps
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and regulatory standards
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Minnesota (or compact state)
- 3+ years clinical nursing experience, ER/urgent care preferred
- TAS or EMT certification strongly preferred
- Proficiency in telephone triage protocols (TAC, ESI)
- Exceptional critical thinking and communication skills
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Experience with Epic EHR systems
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations
