Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing equipment and arranging surgical instruments
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
- Monitor inventory and restock supplies for surgical suites
- Transport patients to/from operating rooms and monitor vital signs
- Follow strict aseptic protocols for infection prevention
- Document procedural details accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure efficient workflow
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Certification from accredited Surgical Technology program preferred (we offer assistance)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 25+ lbs
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Willingness to obtain ST certification within 6 months
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology
