Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and medical history to determine urgency and priority of care
- Provide accurate triage recommendations for emergency, urgent, and non-urgent cases
- Collaborate with physicians and care teams to coordinate patient flow and resource allocation
- Maintain detailed electronic health records (EHR) with precise documentation
- Educate patients on appropriate care pathways and preventive measures
- Handle high-pressure situations with calm professionalism and decisive action
- Monitor and optimize department efficiency through continuous process improvement
Qualifications
- Active California RN license with unrestricted status
- Minimum 2 years clinical nursing experience (emergency/urgent care preferred)
- BLS certification; ACLS and PALS strongly preferred
- Expertise in rapid assessment protocols and emergency triage systems
- Proficiency in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Exceptional communication and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced, high-stress environments
