Responsibilities
- Provide personalized care including medication reminders, meal preparation, and light housekeeping
- Assist with mobility, bathing, and personal hygiene while maintaining dignity
- Transport clients to appointments and social activities using personal vehicle (mileage reimbursed)
- Monitor client health status and document observations in electronic health records
- Facilitate meaningful engagement through companionship and recreational activities
- Collaborate with family members and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional caregiving experience or CNA/HHA certification
- Valid Minnesota driver's license with clean driving record
- Reliable transportation for client appointments
- Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to pass thorough background check and drug screening
- Strong communication skills and empathy for elderly populations
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
