Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, engaging in conversation and activities that promote mental well-being.
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks tailored to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Monitor clients' health status and report any changes, symptoms, or concerns to the supervising nurse or case manager.
- Assist with light housekeeping duties, including laundry and cleaning living spaces.
- Transport clients to medical appointments, social events, and errands using your personal vehicle.
- Administer medication reminders and assist with light medical tasks as authorized by the care plan.
Qualifications
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
- Must pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Valid Driver’s License and proof of auto insurance required.
- Previous experience in home care or caregiving is a plus but not mandatory; we provide training.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
- A valid State of Wisconsin Caregiver license is required.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
