Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including instrument preparation and patient monitoring
- Take and develop dental X-rays following safety protocols
- Manage sterilization and infection control for all equipment
- Prepare treatment rooms and maintain organized inventory
- Provide patient education on post-procedure care and oral hygiene
- Coordinate appointment scheduling and patient flow
- Maintain accurate digital patient records and documentation
Qualifications
- Active Indiana Dental Assistant certification or DANB eligibility
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in dental software (Epic, Dentrix, or similar)
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and infection control standards
- Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
- Ability to adapt to flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends)
- CPR certification required
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask efficiently
