Responsibilities
- Prepare patients and exam rooms for dental procedures
- Assist dentists during complex treatments including restorations and extractions
- Take and develop dental X-rays with digital imaging technology
- Manage sterilization protocols and inventory control
- Provide chairside assistance during oral surgeries and orthodontic procedures
- Deliver patient education on oral hygiene techniques
- Maintain digital patient records using Dentrix software
Qualifications
- Active RDA or DA license in California
- CPR/BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years clinical dental assisting experience
- Proficiency in dental radiography and infection control
- Excellent communication and multitasking abilities
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends (10-20 hours/week)
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance protocols
- Strong attention to detail and patient safety focus
