Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and prioritize emergency cases using standardized protocols
- Provide telephone triage services for patients seeking medical advice
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to determine appropriate care levels
- Document patient encounters accurately in electronic health records (EHR)
- Educate patients on home care instructions and when to seek further treatment
- Manage high-volume call centers during peak hours efficiently
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and hospital policies
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Ohio
- Minimum 2 years emergency department or urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Experience with EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Strong communication abilities with diverse populations
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
