Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including chairside support, instrument preparation, and patient comfort measures
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision and safety protocols
- Manage sterilization processes and maintain clinical equipment per OSHA standards
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for efficient patient flow
- Document patient records accurately and maintain digital charting systems
- Provide post-operative instructions and educate patients on oral hygiene
- Coordinate with front office staff to ensure seamless patient experience
Qualifications
- Current RDA or DA license in California (or eligibility)
- 1+ years of dental assisting experience in a fast-paced practice
- Proficiency in digital radiography and practice management software
- Strong knowledge of infection control and OSHA compliance
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to work independently while maintaining team collaboration
- Flexible availability including evenings and occasional Saturdays
- CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
