Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including instrument preparation and four-handed dentistry
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with digital imaging technology
- Perform infection control protocols and sterilize dental instruments
- Manage patient scheduling and maintain accurate digital dental records
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure optimal inventory levels
- Provide chairside assistance during restorative and cosmetic procedures
- Deliver post-operative instructions and patient education
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification (DANB or state-issued)
- Ohio Radiographer license (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- 1+ years of clinical dental assisting experience
- Proficiency with Eaglesoft or dental practice management software
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA compliance standards
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Flexibility to work evenings and Saturdays (10-15 hours weekly)
