Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and prioritize medical urgency using established protocols
- Provide telephonic and in-person triage services for emergency cases
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists to determine appropriate care pathways
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Delicate patient education and discharge instructions
- Manage high-volume call centers during peak hours
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Missouri (compact license preferred)
- 3+ years ER or urgent care triage experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Proficiency in Epic or EHR systems
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Strong communication and de-escalation abilities
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including weekends
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
