Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative and surgical treatments
- Perform chairside duties: instrument sterilization, tray preparation, and infection control
- Manage patient records and digital imaging systems with precision
- Administer patient education on oral hygiene and post-procedure care
- Coordinate appointment scheduling and maintain inventory of dental supplies
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure compliance with OSHA standards
- Collaborate with hygienists and administrative staff for seamless patient flow
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification or X-ray license (Indiana state)
- 1+ years of chairside experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography (Dexis/PracticeWorks preferred)
- Exceptional communication skills for patient interactions
- Strong attention to detail in sterilization protocols
- Flexibility to work evenings and occasional weekends
- CPR certification (BLS for Healthcare Providers)
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced clinical environments
