Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed
- Monitor vital signs and document patient observations accurately
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance patients' quality of life
- Assist with mobility transfers and positioning to prevent bedsores
- Administer prescribed medications under proper supervision
- Transport patients to medical appointments and errands
- Maintain clean and safe home environments for patients
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 6 months prior home health aide or caregiving experience
- Current Texas HHA certification or willingness to obtain
- Valid Texas driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
- Basic CPR/First Aid certification preferred
- Strong communication skills and empathy for elderly/disabled individuals
- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed
