Responsibilities
- Accurately process and submit medical claims to insurance companies and government payers
- Verify patient insurance coverage, eligibility, and benefits
- Manage accounts receivable, follow up on denied claims, and resolve billing discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and insurance regulations
- Collaborate with clinical staff to document and code services correctly
- Generate monthly reports on billing performance and collections
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a healthcare setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or Certified Medical Reimbursement Specialist (CMRS) preferred
- Proficiency in medical billing software (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Medisoft)
- Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented with high accuracy in documentation
- Ability to work independently with flexible hours
