Responsibilities
- Accurately code and submit claims using CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS systems
- Resolve billing discrepancies through insurance company negotiations
- Maintain HIPAA-compliant patient billing records
- Analyze aging reports and follow up on unpaid accounts
- Utilize Epic EMR for charge entry and account management
- Stay current with CMS and commercial payer regulations
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure documentation accuracy
Qualifications
- 2+ years medical billing experience with commercial payers
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) credential preferred
- Expertise in Medicare/Medicaid and third-party billing
- Proficient in denial resolution and appeals processes
- Advanced knowledge of EOB analysis and adjustments
- Experience with practice management software (e.g., Athena, NextGen)
- Exceptional attention to detail with numerical accuracy
