Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control, ordering, and stock rotation for pharmaceutical products
- Process insurance claims and verify patient coverage information
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling to patients
- Maintain precise patient records and pharmacy documentation systems
- Assist with sterile compounding and IV preparation when certified
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and pharmacy regulations
Qualifications
- Current Pharmacy Technician certification in Wisconsin (PhT) required
- Minimum 1 year of pharmacy experience in retail or hospital setting
- Strong knowledge of prescription processing and drug interactions
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS/1, Rx30)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for medication calculations
- Commitment to maintaining HIPAA compliance standards
