Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, receiving, and tracking controlled substances
- Process insurance claims and patient billing with precision
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling to patients
- Maintain compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations
- Utilize pharmacy software (e.g., QS/1, Omnicell) for dispensing and record-keeping
- Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care
Qualifications
- Active New Mexico Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or ExCPT)
- Minimum 1 year of retail or hospital pharmacy experience
- Proficiency in pharmacy dispensing software and inventory management systems
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication handling
- Excellent communication skills for patient interaction and team collaboration
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of HIPAA and pharmacy regulatory standards
