Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control and medication ordering systems
- Provide exceptional patient counseling on medication usage and side effects
- Maintain HIPAA-compliant electronic health records and documentation
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize medication therapy management
- Operate automated dispensing equipment and point-of-sale systems
- Ensure sterile compounding procedures for IV and chemotherapy preparations
Qualifications
- Active Pennsylvania Pharmacy Technician license required
- 1+ years of retail or hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- CPhT certification from PTCB or ExCPT preferred
- Proficient in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Exceptional attention to detail and medication safety protocols
- Strong communication skills for patient interactions
- Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings/weekends
- Basic IV compounding certification preferred
