Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense and verify prescription medications following regulatory protocols
- Manage inventory control and pharmaceutical ordering systems
- Provide exceptional patient consultations on medication usage and side effects
- Maintain precise electronic health records and prescription documentation
- Coordinate with healthcare providers and insurance carriers for seamless care
- Ensure HIPAA compliance in all patient interactions and data handling
- Assist in training new pharmacy staff on operational procedures
Qualifications
- Active Texas Pharmacy Technician license (PTCB or ExCPT certified)
- Minimum 1 year experience in retail or hospital pharmacy setting
- Proficiency in pharmacy software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Strong attention to detail with exceptional accuracy in dispensing
- Excellent communication skills for patient education and team collaboration
- Ability to work independently during flexible shifts (evenings/weekends)
- Basic knowledge of pharmaceutical calculations and compounding
