Responsibilities
- Submit and track clean claims to private insurers and Medicare/Medicaid
- Resolve billing discrepancies through precise coding (ICD-10, CPT)
- Analyze EOBs to identify underpayments and appeal denials
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations
- Train junior billers on RCM software and workflows
- Collaborate with clinical departments for documentation accuracy
- Generate monthly performance reports for leadership
Qualifications
- 5+ years of medical billing experience with insurance verification
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC credentials required
- Expertise in NextGen or Epic EHR systems
- Proven denial reduction track record (15%+ improvement)
- Advanced knowledge of CMS 1500 forms and UB-04
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management preferred
