Responsibilities
- Perform accurate venipuncture and capillary blood collection procedures
- Process and label specimens following strict protocol
- Maintain sterile equipment and infection control standards
- Verify patient identity and prepare samples for testing

- Provide patient education during blood draw procedures
- Collaborate with lab staff for urgent specimen handling
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASPT or equivalent)
- Texas phlebotomy license (or ability to obtain immediately)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience
- Strong venipuncture skills with minimal callbacks
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Exceptional patient communication abilities
- Proficiency with LIS systems and EMR documentation
