Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws with precision and patient comfort
- Process and label specimens accurately for laboratory testing
- Maintain sterile equipment and infection control protocols
- Verify patient identities and prepare specimens for transport
- Document procedures in EMR systems with meticulous attention to detail
- Provide patient education during blood collection procedures
- Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure quality patient experiences
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP, NHA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 6 months clinical experience in phlebotomy
- Valid Arizona Phlebotomy Technician license
- CPR/BLS certification from accredited provider
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, or weekends as needed
