Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and sterile fields for surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and maintaining sterile environments
- Handle surgical equipment and supplies with precision and care
- Monitor inventory and restock operating rooms between procedures
- Adhere to strict aseptic techniques and safety protocols
- Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure seamless patient transitions
- Document procedural details accurately and efficiently
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification required
- Minimum 1 year of operating room experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of sterile processing techniques
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work variable shifts including evenings and weekends
- Current BLS certification
- Commitment to maintaining patient safety above all else
