Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage prescription processing through pharmacy software systems
- Conduct inventory management and medication reconciliation
- Provide exceptional patient education on medication usage
- Maintain sterile compounding environments per USP 797 standards
- Coordinate with insurance providers for prescription authorizations
- Document patient interactions and pharmacy operations
Qualifications
- Active Indiana Pharmacy Technician license
- 6+ months retail or hospital pharmacy experience
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS/1, Omnicell)
- Strong attention to detail and medication safety awareness
- Excellent communication skills for patient interactions
- Ability to work independently and in team settings
- Flexible availability including evenings and weekends
