Responsibilities
- Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments/equipment following strict aseptic protocols
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies to ensure optimal OR readiness
- Document procedures accurately and maintain electronic health records
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams to coordinate patient care
- Train remotely via our digital learning platform for new surgical technologies
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives for surgical outcomes
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent credential required
- Minimum 2 years of recent OR experience preferred
- Ability to work remotely for non-clinical tasks (documentation, training)
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures across specialties
- Excellent communication and time-management skills
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods
- Current BLS certification
- Proficient with EMR systems
