Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and prioritize emergency cases using ESI protocols
- Utilize Epic EHR systems for accurate documentation and coding
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Collaborate with physicians to coordinate patient care pathways
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and emergency department regulations
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Mentor new staff during training rotations
Qualifications
- Current CA RN license (or willingness to obtain with training)
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (training provided)
- Minimum 1 year ER or urgent care experience preferred
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems
- Strong communication skills in English and Spanish (bilingual a plus)
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights/weekends
