Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate patient care including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance
- Monitor vital signs and report changes to nursing staff
- Assist with mobility transfers using proper techniques
- Document patient care accurately in electronic health records
- Maintain clean and safe patient environments
- Support emotional well-being of residents through companionship
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- No prior healthcare experience required
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods
- Valid Nebraska driver's license (if transporting patients)
- Pass background check and pre-employment physical
- Basic computer literacy for documentation
- Compassion and patience working with elderly/disabled populations
- Must complete paid CNA training program within 90 days
