Responsibilities
- Provide daily personal care assistance including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Monitor and document vital signs, food intake, and resident conditions
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and using adaptive equipment
- Support residents with medication reminders under supervision
- Engage residents in social activities and emotional companionship
- Maintain clean, sanitized living areas and infection control protocols
- Collaborate with healthcare teams for coordinated resident care
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Current California CNA certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and care procedures
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate approach with elderly residents
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts including weekends
- Background check and health screening required
