Responsibilities
- Patient Assistance: Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with the utmost dignity and respect.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record patient temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates as directed by nursing staff.
- Hygiene Maintenance: Ensure patient rooms and equipment are cleaned, sanitized, and organized to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
- Communication: Act as a key communicator between patients, their families, and the medical team to ensure everyone is informed and comfortable.
- Mobility Support: Help patients move safely in bed, stand, or walk using proper body mechanics and transfer equipment.
- Documentation: Complete necessary paperwork and charts accurately and timely to track patient progress.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED is required.
- License: Current and valid CNA license in the State of California is required (or ability to obtain within probationary period).
- Experience: No prior experience required. We welcome new graduates and career changers with a strong desire to learn.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physically demanding tasks safely.
- Soft Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
- Availability: Must be available to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
