Responsibilities
- Deliver patient-centered care across diverse medical units using evidence-based practices
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and document electronic health records accurately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatments, and preventive care
- Respond to emergency situations with rapid assessment and intervention
- Maintain compliance with JCAHO standards and hospital protocols
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuous education
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Kansas (or compact license with willingness to obtain KS license)
- Associate's degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
- ACLS/BLS certifications required; additional certifications (e.g., TNCC, PALS) preferred
- 1+ years acute care experience in medical/surgical or telemetry units
- Strong clinical judgment and proficiency with EMR systems (Epic preferred)
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to thrive in fast-paced environments
- Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
