Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive telephone and in-person patient assessments using standardized triage protocols
- Collaborate with physicians and care teams to prioritize patient care based on acuity levels
- Document patient encounters accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Provide clear, compassionate communication to patients and families regarding care plans
- Coordinate patient flow and resource allocation in emergency department settings
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and facility policies
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Current Alaska RN license (or compact license with endorsement)
- Minimum 2 years emergency department or urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
