Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms via phone, telehealth, and in-person consultations to determine urgency and appropriate care pathways
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists to coordinate patient care and treatment plans
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) with detailed clinical documentation
- Provide health education and guidance to patients regarding symptoms, medications, and preventive care
- Manage patient flow through prioritizing cases based on acuity levels and resource availability
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and compliance with HIPAA/JCAHO standards
Qualifications
- Active RN license in good standing (California)
- Minimum 3 years of clinical nursing experience with ER/urgent care or triage background
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; TNCC preferred
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Proficiency in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Strong communication abilities with diverse patient populations
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environments
