Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed patient assessments via phone, email, or secure messaging to evaluate symptoms and determine medical urgency.
- Prioritize care requests effectively, directing patients to the appropriate level of care, including emergency services when necessary.
- Document all interactions accurately and comprehensively within the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Provide education and resources to patients regarding self-care, medication management, and preventative health measures.
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists to ensure continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes.
- Manage patient queues efficiently to minimize wait times and improve patient satisfaction scores.
Qualifications
- Active RN License issued by the Tennessee Board of Nursing (or compact state license).
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certifications required.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a clinical triage or telehealth setting preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex medical information clearly and empathetically.
- Proficiency in electronic health records and computer navigation.
- Ability to work independently while adhering to strict protocols and quality assurance standards.
