Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive telephone and in-person patient assessments to determine urgency and appropriate care level
- Accurately document patient encounters using EMR systems while maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care pathways
- Provide clear, compassionate patient education regarding treatment protocols and home care instructions
- Manage high-call-volume situations with exceptional prioritization and stress-management skills
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and emergency preparedness drills
Qualifications
- Active California RN license (Compact License preferred)
- Minimum 2 years emergency department or urgent care triage experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Proficient in Epic EMR systems and telehealth triage platforms
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English/Spanish
- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities
