Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments and prioritize care based on acuity levels
- Accurately document electronic health records using Epic EMR systems
- Collaborate with physicians to develop patient care plans
- Provide telephone triage for urgent care and emergency consultations
- Maintain compliance with JCAHO and state nursing regulations
- Train new staff on triage protocols and department workflows
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active Florida RN license (or compact state license)
- Minimum 2 years ER/urgent care experience
- ACLS, BLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Experience with Epic EMR systems preferred
- Strong communication abilities in high-stress environments
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights/weekends
- Bachelor's in Nursing (BSN) preferred
